RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work rotating shifts with 40 hours guaranteed per week
• 16-week contract duration
• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with BSN preferred
• Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS/HCP, ACLS, PALS (all must be AHA certified)
• CPI or equivalent preferred
• Specialty certifications highly desired (CCRN, CPAN)
• Minimum 2 years of full-time PACU Phase I/II staff RN experience at comparable size/type medical center (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center)
• Must have ICU level skills
• EPIC EMR experience required
• All licenses and certifications must be valid through duration of contract
• Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to contract start date
• No requested time off permitted during initial contract period
• Provide immediate post-anesthesia care and overnight extended recovery
• Care for patients from pediatrics (12 months) through geriatrics
• Develop individualized recovery plans to help patients return to pre-op function
• Work with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure safe discharge criteria are met

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive 20-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit including one isolation room, located adjacent to the Main Operating Room. The facility operates 24/7 to support both scheduled and emergent cases, serving 30-50 patients daily with an average stay of 1.5 hours. The unit provides immediate post-anesthesia care and overnight extended recovery for patients awaiting inpatient beds or requiring closer observation, with care directed by anesthesiologists and supported by surgical consultation as needed.
