RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts (AM or PM) with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• 16-week contract duration
• Provide continuous cardiac and physiologic monitoring for adult inpatients
• Care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, myocardial infarction, post-procedure cardiac/vascular conditions, and pulmonary disease
• Float as needed to similar/lesser acuity areas including Telemetry, Med/Surg, ED holds, and PACU holds
• Manage high-acuity patients who may require escalation to ICU
• Graduate of accredited nursing program required, BSN preferred
• Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license required
• 2+ years of full-time staff RN experience in Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive Cardiac Care/Cardiac Stepdown required
• Experience in comparable size medical centers (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center) highly preferred
• Previous float pool experience highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, AHA or APEX NIHSS
• CPI (or equivalent) preferred
• Specialty certifications highly desired (PCCN, RN-BC)
• Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to contract start date
• No requested time off permitted during initial contract period
