Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 26-bed cardiac open-heart cardiac thoracic vascular unit
• Must have 2+ years of RN experience with 2+ years of open-heart experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Recent EPIC experience within the last year required and must be documented on resume
• Floating required between units
• CVICU Skills checklist required upon submission
• Must be independent in obtaining labs and initiating IVs
• Patient ratios typically 1:1 or 1:2, can extend to 1:3
• Dress code: solid black scrubs
• Must be graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Care for STEMI, NSTEMI, Heart Failure, Pulmonary Emboli patients and electrophysiology patients
• Handle overflow for MICU patients, primarily respiratory failure patients requiring potential ECMO therapy
• Manage mix of open heart surgeries including CABG, valve procedures, and combination surgeries
• Assist with lung surgeries such as lobectomy, wedge resection, and VATS procedures
• Maintain open heart patients until discharge with condition-based downgrades
• Work with cardiovascular surgeons who are on call
• Only accepting maximum 7 days of requested time off at submission
• Block schedule requests considered on case-by-case basis
