Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 40 hours per week in four 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• On-call duties required approximately 10-14 days in a 6-week period with 2 weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday)
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Late day assignments for last two cases on table
• May float between three larger campuses (Galveston, League City, or Clear Lake) based on needs with prior discussion
• Black scrubs required
• 3+ years of RN experience required
• Must have Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience
• EP trained in hemodynamics and EP Studies required
• Must independently perform various department responsibilities including circulator, monitor, scrub, and recovery area personnel
• Competently demonstrate knowledge and skills for Cath Lab and EP procedures and equipment utilization
• Must identify cardiac rhythms, waveforms, abnormal ranges and take appropriate interventions
• Required certifications: BLS through American Heart Association, Texas RN license
• Preferred certifications: Cardiovascular certification (CVRNII or higher), CCRN, RCIS, RCES
• Work with equipment including mechanical ventilator, IABP, Impella, implants, and EP ablation
• Routine radiation exposure with lead apron (approximately 20 lbs) and protective devices required
• Work in high-stress environment with unpredictable hours to complete procedures
