Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry) - West Des Moines, IA

Job Details

• Location: West Des Moines, Iowa
• Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Health and Safety Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine proof including booster (or approved exemption/declination where allowed)
• Influenza vaccine proof or declination (optional)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series started prior to start date (titers not accepted)
• MMR vaccination proof or IgG titer
• Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer
• Tdap vaccine (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
• 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test; if positive, chest x-ray per regional requirements
• Fit test for respiratory protection
• 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)

Background and Compliance

• Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
• Iowa-specific criminal history, sex offender, dependent adult & child abuse registry checks (within 30 days prior to start)
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
• Employment eligibility verification (I9)
• Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, OFAC, NSO (dated within 30 days of start)
• Signed code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, conflict of interest disclosure, integrity and audit services form, and other required professional forms
• System access form completed and uploaded one week before start

• Resume and skills checklist (within one year) required for submission
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required
• Specialty-specific skills checklist will be provided by the agency for clinical contractors
