Respiratory Therapist

Location

• Meridian, Idaho

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour evening shifts

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU
• 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Must be able to care for adults, pediatrics, and NICU patients

Clinical Setting

• Covers ER, inpatient, and all floors
• Patient populations include NICU Level IIb, MICU, pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, PACU, and overnight oximetry

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ABGs and respiratory treatments
• Manage respiratory equipment
• Assist with intubation only

Scheduling and Coverage

• Self-scheduling
• Every other weekend required
• May be asked to rotate shifts, trade shifts, or fill staffing gaps
• Holiday rotation may be required
• Optional call with 30-minute response time

Floating

• May float throughout the hospital
• May also float to nearby sister facilities with advance notice

Orientation

• 1–2 shifts of unit-specific orientation

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Must be comfortable floating between ICU, MICU, MS-tele, and ER
• Clean, professional attire in any color
