Registered Nurse

Contract
- 26 weeks
- Night shift
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Overall general med/surg experience
Unit Details
- Short Stay Unit
- 13 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
- Fast-paced unit with high patient turnover
- Common patient types include stroke, trauma, cardiac, and general medicine cases
Schedule and Work Expectations
- 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
- Every other holiday
- No on-call requirement
- Travelers are first to float to other departments when needed
Additional Notes
- Negative drug screen required
- Submission requires the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off
- 1–2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor
- Scrubs are not provided
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
