Registered Nurse - Float (ICU/ED/Medical-Surgical)

Shift Details

• Flexible 8-12 hour shifts (Day and Night)
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed

Job Description

• Float position covering Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), and Medical-Surgical/Pediatrics units
• Reports daily to House Supervisor for unit assignment
• Must be flexible to work in different departments as needed
• May be required to take a patient load or perform task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 3 years of Medical-Surgical experience, including Pediatric Medical-Surgical experience
• Medical-Surgical experience within the last year
• Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Experience in Emergency Department (ED)
• Certifications required:

  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • TNCC
  • Moderate Sedation (Moderate Conscious Sedation may be obtained through the facility after confirmation)

Orientation

• Orientation sessions held on Mondays only
• Missing compliance deadlines will delay start to the following Monday

Hours

• Approximately 36 hours per week
