Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology RN

Location

• Peoria, Illinois

Position Summary

• Assist physicians with arteriograms and other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique.
• Prepare examination area and position patients for procedures.
• Operate complex radiology equipment following established techniques.
• Assist physicians by passing materials, taking exposures as directed.
• Provide patient care appropriate to the ages of patients served.

Unit Details

• Unit size: 11 employees (4 Electrophysiologists)
• Procedure rooms: 2
• Procedure volume: 5-10 procedures per day total
• Department schedule: Monday to Friday, with rotating Saturday call (8 AM - 1 PM)

Work Schedule

• Shift: Days
• Hours per day: 10
• Hours per week: 40
• Shift pattern: 4 x 10-hour shifts with call on weekends and nights

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum of 2 years of Electrophysiology Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Information

• Orientation: 12 non-billable hours (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation)
• Call off policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks with no penalty or pay obligation for the shift
• Local rate adjustment applies for clinicians living within 50 miles (note: pay details excluded)
