Echo Sonographer / Echocardiographer

Location: Mattoon, Illinois
Shift: Days
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Echo Technologist with 2 years of experience
Echo Technologist experience within the last year
RDCS or RCS or RDMS (AE)
BLS

Job Details

Perform echocardiography and vascular imaging procedures
Procedures include transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms, stress echoes, and venous and arterial vascular studies
Must have a verifiable permanent address more than 50 miles from the facility
Local candidates are not accepted
Cover sheet required

Pros

The pay was good and the staff was reasonably supportive.

Cons

The paperwork was sometimes byzantine. They use a version of Epic that is customized to the facility. Someone is always looking over your shoulder and evaluating your fitness for the job. You have to rock that charting!
