Job Description

Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery providing patient care during day shift hours.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification
• NRP certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid Driver's License

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Documentation:

  • Professional resume/profile
  • Two professional references prior to first assignment
  • Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (within 90 days of start, updated annually)
  • EPLS check (within 90 days of start)
  • Employment verification for past 7 years (updated annually)
  • Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start)
  • Signed assignment agreement and confirmation of assignment on agency letterhead
• Health and Immunizations:

  • Proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
  • Proof of two Varicella vaccines, serological immunity, or documented history (no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Influenza vaccine is optional; if declined, mask wearing required during flu season
  • 2-Step PPD or IGRA testing with negative chest X-ray if positive, plus annual TB questionnaire
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite)
  • Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • 12-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Additional Requirements:

  • Biometric consent (required for Illinois positions)
  • Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
  • Completion of onboarding education attestation and nursing contract worker onboarding (onsite)
  • Completion of pre-hire modules including Nova StatStrip
  • Optional unit-specific checklist may be required by unit leader within one week of start

This is a 13-week long-term assignment for an RN experienced in Labor and Delivery, working day shifts in Illinois. Candidates must meet comprehensive licensing, certification, testing, and health requirements prior to assignment start. Compliance with onboarding and ongoing competency assessments is mandatory.
