Description

Radiation Therapist

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Overview

This role involves independently performing radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of treatment aids. The position supports a comprehensive cancer center and includes treatment setups across all treatment sites.

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiation Therapist license in Hawaii
Radiation Therapist (2 years of experience)
Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
BLS
ARRT (T)
2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist experience demonstrating thorough knowledge of imaging procedures and/or techniques

Clinical Skills / Treatment Experience

Proficiency on a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator
Proficiency with ARIA EMR
Ability to treat 25–30 patients per day
Experience with 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electron treatments

Schedule

Rotating shifts
Weekends and holidays required

Start / Onboarding Notes

Travelers without an active Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of the offer
Must arrive the Thursday before start for a Friday employee health appointment
