Description
Registered Nurse — Labor & Delivery
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM)
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Experience working with High Risk patients
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- OR Circulate experience
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
Clinical Expectations
- Care for high-risk obstetric patients
- Manage magnesium and insulin drips
- Circulate cesarean sections in the OR and recover patients in PACU
- Provide newborn care for both vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Titrate drips as needed
Schedule Requirements
- Every 3rd weekend
- Every other holiday
- No call requirement
Unit Details
- Labor & Delivery unit with 9 LDR beds, 6 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, and 1 PACU
- Floating is limited to Postpartum and Antepartum
- Surgical scrubs are provided on unit
Additional Notes
- Negative drug screen required
- Submission requires the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation are included
