Job Overview

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x12 hours, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Schedule Options: 4x12s or 3x12 days
First-Timers Accepted: Yes
Locals Accepted: Yes
Floating: Not required
On-Call: Required as needed
Weekend Requirement: 2–3 weekends per contract

Required Qualifications

Cath Lab Technologist with 1 year of experience
Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ARRT or RCIS
Driver's License
Experience working with Geriatric patients
Cardiac Implant Closure Device experience
Cardiac Stent Placement experience
Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult experience
IABP Placement/Removal experience
Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Left heart catheterization experience
Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) experience
Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) experience
Right heart catheterization experience
Experience with Cerner

Experience Requirements

Diagnostic cardiac cath lab experience
Interventional cardiac cath lab experience
Experience with:
- Cardiac implant closure device
- Cardiac stent placement
- Diagnostic catheterizations for adults
- IABP placement/removal
- Dysrhythmia interpretation
- Left heart catheterization
- PCI
- PTCA
- Right heart catheterization
- Rotablader atherectomy
- Scrub procedures
Experience with:
- Equipment setup
- Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
Experience with:
- Isolation precautions
- Sterile technique
Middle and older adult patient population

Additional Notes

No IR
Cerner charting
Parking permit required, no cost
Scrubs provided
RTO ideally no more than 5 days
