Registered Nurse — Med/Surg

Location

• Gillette, Wyoming

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
• Weekends included
• Call not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wyoming
• Med Surg (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• PALS or ENPC
• Chemotherapy certification

Job Details

• Med/Surg unit caring for patients across the lifespan, including telemetry, surgical, ortho, neuro, end-of-life, bariatric, and detox cases
• No floating expected
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 4–5 patients per nurse
• Navy blue scrubs required

Orientation and Training

• 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• 8 hours with the unit educator
• 30 hours of precept training

Additional Notes

• Local candidates are not accepted; 50-mile radius restriction applies
• The unit uses Meditech and other clinical equipment and devices
• Travelers may be called off or canceled up to 24 hours per 13 weeks
