Rehabilitation Therapy Job in Hawaii

Overview

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Setting: Inpatient rehab and acute rehab
Employment type: Contract
Contract length: 26 weeks
Schedule: Days, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Required Qualifications

Valid Occupational Therapist license in Hawaii
Occupational Therapist with 2 years of experience
Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Red Cross
Experience working with Adult patients
Experience in an Outpatient setting
Experience in an Acute Care setting

Job Responsibilities

Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in outpatient or inpatient settings
Plan and implement ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by the ordering physician
Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs
Independently manage a full caseload
Determine when re-evaluations are needed based on insurance authorization

Additional Requirements

Must be able to work Hawaii state and federal holidays as needed based on hospital operations
Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday
