Labor & Delivery RN

Location: Rockford, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Hours per Week: 36

Overview

Experienced RN needed for a Labor & Delivery unit in a Level 1 Trauma Center. High-risk labor and delivery experience is required.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Labor and Delivery experience with 2 years of experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS
CPR
ACLS
NRP
AWHONN
C-EFM
STABLE
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience working with high-risk patients
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing standards and state practice laws
Document care according to standards
Develop, initiate, and carry out patient plans of care based on individual needs and physician or hospital policy
Participate in unit performance improvement activities
Provide clinical guidance to other units or departments as needed
Use critical thinking to support patient safety and patient experience
