- Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS certification
- 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience with postoperative surgical care and general med-surg care

Assignment Details
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Negative drug screen required
- Floating may be required to other MedSurg floors
- Two-unit orientation
- Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
Unit Overview
- 43 private rooms
- Typical patient mix includes medical-surgical, postoperative orthopedic, and trauma fracture cases
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4–5 on day shift and 1:5–6 on night shift
- Primary charge RN on each shift
- House supervisor available 24/7
- Patient care tech ratio is 1:7–8
- Unit uses telemetry monitors and CPAP/heated high-flow equipment as needed

- Any color scrubs allowed
- Professional appearance required
- Tattoos and piercings must be covered
