• 4x10 shifts, 7:30am–6:30pm
• Includes weekends, holidays, and call time
• 40 hours per week

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license in Alaska
• Pharmacist (2 years of experience)
• Pharmacist experience within the last year
• BLS
• Pharm.D. degree, or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree for candidates licensed prior to 2003

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a nationally recognized pharmacy residency program

Key Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, legality, interactions, allergies, lab abnormalities, and follow-up needs
• Provide clinical consultation, patient counseling, and drug therapy education
• Enter prescriptions into pharmacy software and verify finished prescription orders
• Perform chart reviews, medication therapy management, and refill recommendations
• Direct pharmacy support personnel and verify daily technician activities
• Participate in quality control, quality improvement, committee work, and pharmacy-run clinics
• Support medication inventory, formulary selection, and health promotion/disease prevention activities
