Respiratory Care Practitioner II

Required Qualifications
- College diploma
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in California
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (3 years of experience)
- Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care across all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Perform ventilator management, oxygen therapy, nebulized medication therapy, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, specialty gas administration, and mist tent therapy
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as 12-lead ECGs, simple pulmonary function testing, and pulse oximetry
- Assist with cardiac stress testing
- Perform arterial and capillary punctures and assess oxygenation, acid-base balance, and ventilation
- Support cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Rapid Response Team activities
- Document treatments and patient responses in respiratory care records and patient charts
