Respiratory Therapist

Location

• Marshfield, Wisconsin

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts

Schedule

• Every third weekend
• Every other holiday
• Call is not required, though occasional off-shift call may be needed from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM with a 1-hour response time

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Critical care experience
• Trauma level 2 or 3 experience
• Wisconsin respiratory therapist license
• ACLS
• BLS
• NRP
• PALS
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC

Clinical Setting

• Adult units and emergency department
• Inpatient and emergency department coverage
• Pediatric patients may be covered in the emergency department

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ABGs and CBGs in intensive care units
• Assist with intubation
• May place a laryngeal airway during code blue situations
• Cover the EKG department overnight when needed

Orientation

• Leadership orientation followed by 3 to 4 days on the floors

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Travel duos are accepted
• Scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local
• If previously worked at this facility, there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission
• Clocking in and out at the facility is required
