Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting

Schedule Notes

• Schedule is Monday–Friday, with some flexibility in hours
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days

Clinical Experience Highlights

  • AROM/AAROM/PROM
  • Body mechanics
  • Pain assessment
  • Sensory response
  • Skin integrity
  • Strength testing
  • Vital signs
  • Assessment, evaluation, discharge, plan of care, short- and long-term goals
  • Time management
  • Crutches, gait belt, rolling walker, shoulder slings, standard walker
  • Orthopedic cases such as sprains, fractures/injuries, joint disease, post-op spine/shoulder/cervical surgery, arthritis, sciatica, spinal conditions, and joint replacements
  • Post-stroke rehabilitation
  • Modalities including cryotherapy, e-stim, moist heat, TENS, and ultrasound
  • Home exercise programs, patient/family education, safety and injury prevention
  • Billing experience with commercial, Medicaid, Medicare A/B, private pay, and workers’ compensation

Compliance Notes

• Must be in Illinois 3 business days before compliance deadline for fingerprinting requirements

Work Setting

• Critical access, magnet hospital
• 25 staffed beds
• Business casual attire or plain solid scrubs

• Cerner familiarity is preferred
• Parking is free in unrestricted spaces
