Radiation Therapist

Overview

• Contract role in Lancaster, Ohio
• Full-time day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• No weekends or call

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Ohio
• Radiation Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• ARRT (RT)
• BLS
• Associate degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy
• 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience
• TrueBeam and Aria experience

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments
• Obtain patient history, answer questions, and explain procedures
• Monitor patients during treatment for unusual reactions or events
• Schedule patients and coordinate with physicists and supportive care staff
• Verify prescriptions, diagnoses, charts, and patient identification
• Prepare treatment documentation and reports
• Prepare the room and equipment, position patients, and assist with transfers as needed
• Reinforce physician and care-team instructions related to treatment and side effects
• Perform verification and port film exposures and make physician-directed adjustments

• Medium physical demand, including lifting and moving patients/equipment within stated force ranges
