L&D RN - Nights

Overview

• Specialty: Labor & Delivery nursing
• Location: Lamar, Colorado
• Employment type: Contract
• Schedule: Full time, 36 hours per week, 7:00pm–7:00am
• On call: Required
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Provides direct patient care for women in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Responsible for assessments, labor monitoring, preparation for C-sections and inductions, documentation, patient education, emotional support, transfer coordination, IV medication administration, and infection control practices.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 7 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS
• C-EFM
• STABLE

Preferred Experience

• 4 years of obstetrics care experience preferred

Additional Requirements

• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification within one year of employment
• ACLS within one year of employment

Work Environment

• May rotate shifts and areas based on staffing and census
• Physical demands include long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting
• Exposure to blood and body fluids, unpleasant sights and smells, and infectious diseases may occur
