Contract Length

Role Summary

• Provides direct patient care on the unit, including rounds, assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.
• Uses the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice to support patient care.
• Participates in unit-based activities and quality improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• Experience in neuro nursing or direct patient care nursing, as indicated by the role title and specialty

Key Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and documents findings
• Develops and prioritizes patient care plans
• Implements therapies and procedures within scope of practice
• Communicates changes in patient condition
• Delegates and oversees patient care tasks appropriately
• Supports discharge planning and teaching
• Monitors quality measures such as patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation accuracy
