Contract

• 13 weeks
• Day shift
• 40 hours per week
• 10-hour shifts

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Experience

• Prior travel experience is preferred
• First-time travelers may be considered if they have strong experience in similar operating rooms

Schedule

• Works 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• Weekend rotation is about 1 weekend every 6 to 7 weeks
• Call is required, including weekday nights and weekends
• Call response time is 30 minutes

Unit Details

• Community hospital with 3 OR suites and 1 procedure room
• 1:1 staffing ratio
• Charge nurse coverage is available 24/7
• Scrubbing is not required for RNs
• Travelers do not float
• 3-shift orientation with a preceptor after general hospital orientation

Clinical Environment

• High-volume orthopedic, general surgery, eye, gynecology, urology, plastics, ENT, and scope cases
• Vents are used
• Respiratory therapy is in-house 24/7
• No IV team

Additional Notes

• Scrubs are provided
• COVID vaccination is required, with exemption process available
• Blocked scheduling requests are not approved
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Previous permanent staff must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers who worked there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
