Cath Lab RN

Job Overview

Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Schedule: Day shift, 4x12 hours, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Contract length: 13 weeks
Setting: Acute care hospital with a Level I trauma designation

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Cardiac Cath Lab (1 year of experience)
Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Monitoring of procedural sedation
Experience with Cerner

Clinical Experience Needed

Circulating procedures
Diagnostic catheterizations for adults
Left heart catheterization
Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
Right heart catheterization
Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Schedule / Assignment Details

Weekend work required: 2–3 weekends per contract
On-call required as needed
May float within scope to meet facility needs
First-time travelers accepted
RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days

Additional Notes

Cerner experience required
Scrubs are provided
Parking permit required at no cost
5-room unit with an average daily census of 25
