Description
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location
- Bismarck, North Dakota
Contract
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Day shift
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Call every 5 weeks for one week
- May work alone while on call, but will be in the hospital with others nearby
- Every other holiday
Required Qualifications
- NMTCB CNMT or ARRT CNMT
- BLS certification
- North Dakota state license
- Must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility
- If previously worked for the employer, must have an end date at least 6 months before submission
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear imaging procedures and nuclear medicine studies for inpatients and outpatients across all age groups
- Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals and therapeutic dosages under physician direction
- Follow radiation safety standards, quality assurance practices, and NRC rules and regulations
- Operate imaging equipment and process/send data to required destinations
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and provide procedure explanations
- May be cross-trained to perform PET/CT scans, but this is not required
Work Environment
- Must badge in and out at the facility
- Scrubs: gray/dark gray
- Uses Siemens Symbia cameras, Epic charting, and SECTRA PACS
- 2 rooms in the department
