Operating Room RN - Pediatrics

Overview

• Specialty: RN Surgery
• Location: Austin, Texas
• Employment type: Long-term assignment
• Shift: Weekdays, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Provides direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Supports circulating nurse responsibilities, including patient monitoring and documentation in the electronic health record.
• Supports scrub nurse responsibilities by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support surgical workflow and patient safety.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Texas RN license.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
• 1.5 years of Pediatrics or Operating Room experience within the last year.
• Driver's license.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year of operating room RN experience.
• Pediatric operating room RN experience is a plus.
