Description
Interventional Radiology RN
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Days
- 36 hours per week
- 9-hour shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- EKG interpretation
- Drip titration experience
Assignment Details
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
- 4 days per week
- Not self-scheduling
- No floating
Call Requirements
- Primary and secondary call required
- 6–8 call shifts in 6 weeks, including a weekend
- Holiday call required
- 30-minute call response time
Unit Information
- Interventional Radiology department with 6 labs
- Average of 20–30 cases per day
- Patient types include GI bleed, strokes, biopsy, central lines, drains, and vascular cases
- Staffing includes a charge RN during daytime hours and 1 PCT
- Typical ratios are 1:1 intraprocedural and up to 1:4 in phase 2 recovery
Orientation and Work Environment
- 5 hours of unit-specific orientation
- 12 non-billable orientation hours
- Surgical scrubs provided
- Drug-free campus; negative drug screen required
