OB RN

Location: Machias, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Maine
Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Antepartum experience
Post Partum experience
Nursery experience
BLS
ACLS
NRP
STABLE
AWHONN
C-EFM

Role Overview

Provides holistic, individualized nursing care for patients on the OB unit
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
Cares for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyn patients
Performs general and unit-specific clinical skills
Manages supplies and equipment
Supports teamwork with physicians and other hospital departments

Additional Details

Successfully completes general nursing and unit orientation
Requires effective written and oral communication skills
Requires computer skills
