Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Contract role in St Johnsbury, Vermont
• Night shift: three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 pm–7 am
• Must be able to cover mid-shifts as needed
• Fast-paced emergency department setting with a busy rural critical access hospital
• Credentialing must be completed and uploaded at least five business days before start date

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC

Clinical Setting

• Emergency department with 9 beds
• Approximately 15,000 patient visits per year
• Rural location with no public transportation nearby
• Closest airport is about 2 hours away

Additional Notes

• Familiarity with Meditech is required, or the ability to learn it quickly
• Travelers start on Wednesdays
• During orientation week, a 48-hour contract is guaranteed 36 hours due to the midweek start
