Registered Nurse — Emergency Department
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length
- 26 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour evening shifts
- Every other weekend
- Holidays may be required based on department needs
- No call requirement
- May be floated as a help-all on other units if needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS
- ACLS
- ENPC or PALS
- TNCC or TNS
- Must be able to interpret and act on cardiac rhythms
- Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels
Experience
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- At least 1 prior travel assignment preferred
Unit Details
- Level 1 emergency department
- 65 private beds
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3-5, depending on acuity
- Cares for patients from newborns to elderly, including critically ill and trauma patients
- Travelers may care for stabilized trauma patients after transfer from the trauma bay
Additional Notes
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation
- Local placements within 50 miles are accepted
- Time-off requests may be included in the contract and are reviewed for approval
- Scrubs: tasteful scrubs; solid-colored shirts underneath only
