Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Previous nursing experience
Recent acute care experience
BSN

Job Summary

Provides direct patient care on the unit, including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, admission/transfer/discharge activities, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning
Performs comprehensive assessments, documents care, delegates appropriately, and monitors delegated care
Participates in discharge planning, unit-based activities, and quality improvement efforts
Uses evidence-based practice, current research, and a holistic approach to patient care
