13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
• Primarily day/evening start times
• No self-scheduling for travelers
• Block scheduling may be allowed if it meets unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS
• 2-3 years of experience in the specialty
• 2-3 previous travel assignments
• Ortho experience
• Experience passing the arms in and out for robotics
• Experience with all specialties for evening/night shift

Responsibilities

• Circulate cases if needed
• May be the only RN overnight with 2 techs
• May float to outpatient surgery
• May be on call

Call Requirements

• One weeknight on-call per week
• One weekday call shift every 2 weeks
• One weekend 24-hour on-call shift per month
• 30-minute call response time

Unit Details

• 9 ORs, 1 procedure room, and 1 hybrid room
• Average volume: 35-45 cases per day
• Common cases include general, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics, trauma, vascular, pediatrics, and emergent cases
• Scrubbing is a plus but not required

Orientation

• 3 shifts over 1 week

Additional Notes

• Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
• Background hits must be disclosed at submission
• Scrubs are provided
