Description
RN (Registered Nurse)
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract
- 15 weeks
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS
- PALS
- At least 1 year of Pediatric ICU experience
Submission Requirements
- Last four digits of SSN
- Middle initial
- Requested time off
Work Setting
- Pediatrics / Almost Home Kids
- 12 private rooms
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3-4
- Charge nurse is on shift 24/7 and takes a patient assignment
- PCT support is available
- APN coverage is available Monday through Friday, 0800-1700
- Medical director and on-call physicians are available
- Nursing staff provide RT treatments and troubleshoot vents
- No pharmacy on site; nurses prepare medications
Schedule
- No rotation
- Block scheduling allowed
- Every other weekend or every third weekend
- Holiday rotation required
- No call or standby requirement
Floating
- Typically does not float
- May float to PIC or PICU at a children’s hospital
Orientation
- 2 twelve-hour orientation shifts
- Non-billable orientation hours: 12
Additional Notes
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Drug screen required
- Any scrubs acceptable
