Respiratory Therapist

Location

• Winnemucca, Nevada

Assignment Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• 7 on / 7 off schedule

Department

• Respiratory | RT

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NRP
• CRT is acceptable
• Nevada blood gas license

Experience

• 1 year of experience
• First-time travelers accepted

Preferred Experience

• Peds experience
• Adult experience
• NICU experience

Clinical Setting / Coverage

• May be the only RT in house on day shift; night shift is the only RT each shift
• Covers inpatient, outpatient, ER, floor, ICU, and OB
• Attends high-risk deliveries and C-sections
• Responds to rapid response calls
• Can assist with cardiac and pulmonary rehab if needed

Job Duties

• Draws and runs ABGs, EKGs, PFTs, stress tests, and breathing treatments
• Assists the MD with intubation, with the goal of working toward independent intubation

Additional Details

• No call or standby call
• No floating
• No scrub color requirement
• 1–2 weeks of department-specific orientation
• Housing leads available; candidate should confirm housing options in the area with submittal
