Emergency Center RN

Location

Albany, Georgia

Shift

Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

RN license
BLS
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS
TNCC
5+ years of experience
At least 1 travel assignment
Larger hospital experience
Meditech experience

Preferred Qualifications

CPI
ASLS

Unit / Setting

Emergency Center
6-bed behavioral lock down area staffed by psych
Approx. 180–200 visits per day
Ratios: 1:4
Peds to geriatrics
Trauma patients are seen
Some neuro trauma is kept, but many are shipped out
Some ortho is kept, but some is shipped out
No burns are kept
CVA center

Schedule / Work Expectations

Every other weekend
Every other holiday
2-shift floor-specific orientation
ORT must be completed during week one unless approved before start date
Callout process is emphasized as important

Staffing / Support

Charge nurse
Nurse aides/paramedics: 5–6 per shift
Security/patient sitters
Central monitoring tech
Vents are held in the ER until admitted
24/7 respiratory therapist dedicated to the ER
Pharmacy coverage on campus 24/7

Other Details

Caribbean blue scrubs only
Driver’s license address must be included in the emailed submission to be considered
75-mile radius rule
