Role Overview

• Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Therapist department
• 13-week contract
• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week

Location

• Weston, Wisconsin

Required Qualifications

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• PALS (AHA)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC
• Cannot take CRT

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous traveler experience

Clinical Setting

• Mainly adults, with minimal pediatrics and neonates
• Areas covered: inpatient, ER, ICU, MS floors, and facility emergencies in the clinic

Skills and Duties

• Vents
• BiPAP
• Basic RT treatments
• EKGs
• Intubation assist
• Basic therapies
• ABGs
• CPAPs
• Ventilator management, including intubation weaning and extubation
• Charge verification
• Timely and proper charting in Cerner
• May assist with high-risk deliveries very infrequently
• May insert king airways in emergency situations prior to provider arrival

Schedule

• Variable day/night shifts are mentioned in the source, with rare variable shifts
• Rotating weekends, about every 3rd weekend depending on call-ins and staffing
• Holiday coverage required: 2 of 3 winter holidays, and every other holiday otherwise

Additional Notes

• Dark green scrubs
• No call or standby call requirement
• No floating requirement
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• If the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield, they must have an end date at least 6 months before submission
