Role Overview
- PICU RN
- Department: PICU
- 16 ICU beds and 16 INT beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:2
Required Qualifications
- Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- 2 years of experience in PICU

Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Days
- Every other weekend
- May work 1 significant and 1 insignificant holiday depending on assignment timing
Unit Details
- 1 PCT for the unit
- Free charge RN 24/7
- House supervisor 24/7
- Intensivist, APP, and residents in house 24/7
- Bedside Phillips monitors with 24/7 monitor tech
- Floating to PIC and lower levels of care by turn; NICU/NIC is up to the traveler
Additional Notes
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Drug-free campus; negative drug screen required
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation
- Unit-specific orientation: 3 to 4 12-hour shifts
