RN Cath Lab

Overview

Location: Round Rock, Texas
Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 06:30–17:00
Shift pattern: 4 ten-hour shifts
Call: 7–10 days per month
Flexibility: Must be flexible

Role Summary

Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Resume
At least 2 professional references

Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures
Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary
Prepare, implement, and document plan of care
Communicate patient condition to physician before, during, and after procedures
Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures
Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures
