Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Kentucky
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
1 year of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
Associate's degree in respiratory care
BLS
PALS
NRP

Job Responsibilities

Performs daily respiratory care procedures, including aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, percussion and postural drainage, noninvasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation, CPR, bedside pulmonary function screening, and arterial blood gases
Manages and assesses patients on mechanical and non-invasive ventilation
Provides ventilator management for neonatal/pediatrics and adults according to protocol
Performs patient care procedures and medication administration, including oxygen, aerosol medications, humidification, suctioning, and chest physiotherapy
Obtains, processes, and reports arterial blood gases without direct supervision
Performs charting and order entry in EPIC
Assists with maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of respiratory care equipment
Supports department operations, quality improvement activities, education efforts, and customer service needs
