LTC/SNF - RN

Location

• Winnemucca, Nevada

Schedule

• 12-hour nights
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: typically every other weekend
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation

Assignment Details

• Nursing home / skilled care setting attached to a critical-access hospital
• 34 beds; currently 22 residents
• Semi-private rooms
• Floating may be needed to the memory care unit
• 1 shift of orientation with a preceptor

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nevada
• Long Term Care (1 year of experience)
• Long Term Care experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

• Experience with cognitive deficits
• Leadership experience such as charge
• First-time travelers accepted

Clinical / Unit Notes

• Common diagnoses include COPD, DM, cognitive deficits, and comorbidities
• Nurses pass medications, perform simple IVs and tubes, and assist with wound care as needed
• No vents or trachs
• No IVs or titratable drips
• Tele monitors: none
• Nurses administer all respiratory therapy and home CPAP/BiPAP
• Modified self-scheduling; travelers are asked to submit availability and remain flexible to help fill staffing gaps
• Do not guarantee block scheduling

Housing

• Leads available; candidate should confirm housing in the area with the submittal
