Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Overview
- Location: Peoria, Illinois
- Facility: Cath Lab | Tech
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour days with call
- Hours per week: 40
- Local placements accepted: Yes, within a 50-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Recent experience: Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- Certifications: ARRT, BLS, IEMA
- Experience: Previous cath lab experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric experience
- McKesson cardiology PACS experience
Schedule and Call
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- Call is on a rotational basis, usually 8–9 shifts per month
- Call response time: 30 minutes from page
Unit Details
- 6 suites/labs
- 10–15 cases per day on average
- Cath lab is separate from IR and EP
Duties
- Scrub
- Monitor hemodynamics
- Circulate
Additional Notes
- Techs are not required to float
- Orientation is usually 3–5 days
- Scrubs are provided by the hospital
- Drug screen required
- Mandatory call list is used when staff cannot fulfill call shifts
