Overview

• 13-week contract
• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius

Required Qualifications

• Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS
• ACLS
• ENPC or PALS
• TNCC or TNS
• Negative drug screen for all panels
• Requested time off must be submitted
• Clinician’s middle initial and last four digits of SSN must be provided for submission

Preferred

• 2 years of nursing experience
• 1 prior travel assignment
• SANE RN experience
• Experience working in a teaching hospital with residents

Unit Details

• Emergency Department
• Level 1 trauma center
• 65 beds, all private
• 2 trauma bays
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3-5, depending on acuity and department needs

Clinical Setting

• Cares for a wide range of patients from newborns to elderly
• Common cases include critically ill patients, cardiac arrest, strokes, heart attacks, and trauma
• Travelers may care for stabilized trauma patients after transfer out of the trauma bay

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Day, mid, and night shift start times are listed, but this opening is for nights
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays are required every other holiday or based on department needs
• No call requirement
• Travelers do not self-schedule
• Floating is rare and, if needed, would be as a help-all on other units

• 12 hours of non-billable orientation
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
• Local rate adjustment applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles
