Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Overview
- Location: Peoria, Illinois
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour days
- Hours per week: 40
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Cath Lab Technologist with 2 years of experience
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT
- BLS
- IEMA
Preferred
- Ped's experience
- McKesson cardiology PACS experience
Department Details
- Cath Lab | Tech
- 6 suites/labs
- Average of 10 to 15 cases per day
- Cath lab is separate from IR and EP
Duties
- Scrub
- Monitor hemodynamics
- Circulate
Scheduling and Call
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- On-call hours on a rotational basis
- Call is usually 8 to 9 shifts per month
- Call response time: 30 minutes from page
- Mandatory call list is used when staff cannot fulfill a call shift
Floating
- Techs are not required to float at this time
Orientation
- Orientation is usually 3 to 5 days
- 12 non-billable orientation hours; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
Additional Notes
- Drug screen required
- Scrubs are provided by the hospital
