Operating Room RN

Overview

Operating Room RN in Paducah, Kentucky
26-week contract
Monday–Friday, 0630–1500
Call every other day and every other weekend
Must be willing to help in other specialties as needed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kentucky
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
Vascular Surgery experience

Preferred Qualifications

Previous nursing experience
BSN

Key Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care on the unit, including rounds, assessments, treatments, admission/transfer/discharge support, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning
Performs comprehensive nursing assessments, documents findings, and responds to changes in patient condition
Delegates and oversees patient care tasks and monitors delegated care for accuracy and completeness
Supports discharge planning and teaching
Participates in unit-based activities and quality improvement efforts
