SLP

Overview

13-week travel assignment in Idaho
Shift: Days
Schedule: 4x10s, 0730-1800
37-hour guarantee
Weekend coverage required
Holidays as needed

Required Qualifications

BLS certification
CCC-SLP
1+ years of experience in acute care
Competent in VFSS (video fluoroscopic swallow study)

Preferred

Some rehab unit experience
First-time traveler accepted

Unit / Setting

Unit: Speech Therapy Magic Valley Hospital Flr 2
Department: Speech Therapy
Acute Inpatient and Acute Rehab
Covers ICU, acute tower, and rehab unit
May float to Jerome Medical Center about 30 minutes away

Patient Volume / Caseload

8 to 10 patients treated per day
3 SLPs on per day

Additional Notes

Common patient types include stroke, pneumonia, and sepsis
EPIC is used
Rehab aides are staffed
Usually 2–3 days of department orientation
Travelers should plan on working M-F 5 8’s to accommodate onboarding schedule
Radius rule: candidates must live outside 50 miles
