Pharmacist
Location
- Rapid City, South Dakota
Assignment Details
- 13-week contract
- Day and evening shifts
- 40 hours per week
- 26-bed unit
- No weekends
- No call
- No floating to other units or departments
Required Qualifications
- Hospital pharmacy experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
Job Duties
- Pharmacist order verification in Epic
- Check floor stock
- Compounded sterile products
- VTE high risk determination
- Call patients to schedule surgery 7–10 days before surgery
Schedule Notes
- Pharmacy hours are 0530–2000
- Temp pharmacist would most likely work the middle shift
- Opening and closing shifts require more training
Preferred Experience
- 2–3 years of experience is ideal
Unit Notes
- Epic order verification is the main focus
- Other duties include OR schedule next-day medication prep, sterile compounding checking, technicians filling floor stock, anesthesia kits, anesthesia trays, and pharmacist double-checking technicians
