Registered Nurse (RN) in the Acute Care unit.

12-hour varied shifts, 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Dakota
• Acute Care (1 year of experience)
• Acute Care experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care in accordance with the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act, facility policies, and professional standards.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
• Teach patients and families about medications, treatments, and discharge care.
• Prioritize tasks to provide timely patient care.
• Follow infection control and safety policies.
• Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff.
• Assist in orientation and training of new team members.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Support teamwork and a collaborative work culture.
